Subject: World cup

Adding onto this - and this may seem a little conspiratorial - is the introduction of VAR, break-ups in the game, rise in fans expenses, unfriendly kick off times, worsening on field product - an act of deliberate self destruction of the Premier league to hasten the way for a certain few to profit bigly when this break away happens? The whole of football seems in quite an ill place at the moment. This world cup - FIFA are truly evil - the pricing is a spit in the face for ordinary fans. Could this be the world cup when football finally starts to devour its own tail? The sort of opposite to italia 92 (followed by premier league and euro 96) which was seen as the rebirth of football after dark days of hooliganism and tragedy in 80s..

They say the football bubble will never burst but think this world cup may well be looked back at in such a way cause what with the politics, technology, breaks in game, corporatiasion, transport and ticket prices, sterile and anodyne onfield product, oversaturation of matches, epeople may well start to turn away in considerable numbers.
