Subject: Rebuilding and next season

In my view and some may not agree we need ….
- 1 back up keeper - 1 LB (sell Robinson)
- 1 RB (Tommy C I would keep, Tete cant be relied upon for a full season)
- 1 DM (Reed / Cairney to go ) - 1 box to box player (Lukic for me is essential)
- 1 creative passing Midfielder in the cairney role when he was younger.
- at least 2 strikers with Raul going and Muniz essentially missing a season, returning firing blanks. I would be tempted to offer Raul a coaching role or a contract as back up to the back up . I would also be tempted to cash in on Muniz. - at least 2 wingers ( Wilson to go,Chuck 50/50)
That is a lot of upheaval and can send a team down … which brings me onto to who leads them. I would Wave goodbye to Silva . He has had plenty of time to make his mind up, is clearly not committed to the club. He was very tricky at Watford and there js a reason why he was paid no compensation there.
We are not equipped for Europe this season, maybe next year . I would not be averse to Frank or Howe. They would not be burdened by the heavy expectations of spurs and Newcastle . It would be - bed in a new squad, keep us up in the transition, a decent cup run and let’s see where we are in March for Europe.
