Subject: That's because we failed to replace the ability, strength and aggression of players like Mitro and Palhinha. We're too soft in critical areas of the pitch. You can't replace power with ballet dancers and expect to progress. Central midfield and center forward was always the glaring weakness, even last season, but it was incompetently neglected in the summer window.

  • I'm not arguing the general point as I tend to agree with it. But on the other hand, if we had of kept 11 men on the pitch againd Bournemouth and won, and beed bothered enough to beat Wolves, we would have been in that 6th spot ourselves, with a "winnable" game to come.
