Subject: Nicely done. While there was clearly some anxiety in the dedicated supporter base, there's been no drama. No toys thrown out of the pram. No barbs in the media on either side. Just a solid "thanks and goodbye" on both sides. Fulhamish, in so far as this is the kind of thing I'd hope for our club. Hopefully SK's statement will right true that the club has "prepared for this moment...We will soon appoint a new leader in a timely but deliberate manner."

  • My bet is Thomas Frank. Still lives in Kew (not that this has anything do do with it). I wanted him as replacement when he was manager of Brentford. Don't blame him for the fiasco at Spurs. It is a club that is rotten throughout and he was plagued with injuries. Would not be my top target but I don't think he will do a bad job for us. • Frank would be a disaster, like Spurs, unless he brings his assistant from Brentford. He is now Denmark manager. (NT) -- Mumbles, Tuesday, June 02, 04:48:43pm (NoHost/90.200.222.173)
  • I don't get the love in for Frank. His style of football is miles away from what we have been used to. If you like physical, route 1 with a heavy reliance on set pieces then he's your man. Doesn't float my boat tbh. (NT) -- Jimmy Hill's Chin, Tuesday, June 02, 04:49:16pm (NoHost/176.248.211.130)
  • My thought is Thomas Frank too. (NT) -- GA, Tuesday, June 02, 04:49:30pm (ool-18b90125.dyn.optonline.net/24.185.1.37)
  • Don't know who would be suitable to be honest, hope there's a left-field candidate, but I do know who I don't want: Frank, Rosenior, Rogers, Ange. I think we're in for a nervy summer, what are the chances of the Khans & Ali Mac getting it right... no more than 50-50 I'd suggest. (NT) -- SCA, Tuesday, June 02, 04:57:23pm (NoHost/2.123.71.86)
