Subject: That 08/09 season under Roy. Some great performances but I still struggle with our successive home defeats to Hull and Blackburn. It didn’t ultimately change our league position but at the time I was so frustrated.

With three games to go we really could have finished 6th - in fact with two games and 50 minutes to go it was looking even likelier - then Andersen had his moment of madness.   • Dead frustrating, as you say, but in a sense justice done. Even if nabbing 6th, this season's team would not in performance terms deserved to rank as Silva's best, let alone superior to two, at miminum, of those past ones.
