Subject: Forward planning is clearly quite sensible but it’s also sensible to be able to respond to unexpected changes in circumstances eg Slots unexpected availability. The other issue is the likelihood of potential targets being willing to enter into serious discussions when only eg a 50/50 chance of a Fulham managerial vacancy becoming available. CP have yet to announce a new appointment and they have had way more time
