  • Amorim did not fit at United but he got the job because of past success. Carrick did well at Boro but not well enough to get promotion. He does though have a long background at United understanding the club thoroughly. Whoever Fulham employ will have past successes and probably failures so the question is whether the chemistry is right. For recruiters that's tough and is a fundamental reason why most managers get sacked within a year or two. The CV does not predict success or failure.
