A smile played at the corners of Ravin's mouth when Rowan entered the kitchen along with Laurel. The elf's enthusiasm bordered on the insane. Ravin was certain he had never met anyone quite so hyperactive before. Kyri's face came to his mind then, instantly wiping the smile off his face. She was like Rowan in her exuberance and inability to sit still for long. Kyri also shared the elf's habit of diving into things without giving any though to her actions.

Just when Ravin was beginning to realize how much he really missed his feisty ex-wife, Rowan threw an apron at him, snapping his attention. Since he always tried his best to hide his moodiness from others, the thief pushed away any further thoughts of Kyri. He could sink into a chasm of depression later when he was alone.

"Let me know if you need any help with that," Rowan said, ending his words with a wink.

Ravin laughed softly then returned the elf's wink. He listened to the banter shared between brother and sister while tying the apron around his waist. He enjoyed watching their easy camaraderie. The deep love they shared for one another was obvious, and it warmed his heart because he shared the same kind of love with his adopted brothers and sisters. Unlike many of the young men and women in Bizmar, Ravin knew what it was like to have a caring family who would always be there for him.

When Rowan mentioned liquor, Ravin's eyes lit up. Hadn't he seen a bottle of whiskey rolling across the dining room floor? While Laurel debated the issue of using liquor with her brother, he slipped into the adjoining room. "There you are," he muttered, upon seeing the bottle in question lying beside a dead body.

After scooping it up, he returned to the kitchen and displayed it to the siblings. "This bottle survived its nasty fall from the liquor cart and is now begging us to consume the delicious beverage it holds!" He shared a grin with Rowan as he passed the bottle to him. "You can have the honor of opening it while I search for something to put on that bread Laurel found."

Since Ravin was accustomed to drinking directly from a bottle that was passed around between friends, he didn't think to look for any glasses. The sight of a waist high, white box drew his attention because it looked exactly like the magical container they used at the old Mage Mansion to deep certain foods cold and fresh. He pulled up the lid, smiling at all the delicious items he saw inside.

"Heads up!" he called, before tossing a crisp, green apple to Rowan, who caught it easily in one hand. "Nice catch!"

Next he pulled out what looked like a large chunk of cooked beef and set it on the counter. "I think this will go very well with that bread." He swiped the whiskey bottle out of Rowan's hand and took a long drink before returning it to the elf.

After wiping his mouth in a sleeved and pushing away unruly hair from his eyes, Ravin withdrew a relatively clean dagger. His mouth watered as he began to carve thin slices off the chunk of meat, piling them high upon the counter for Laurel to use in creating the sandwiches.

Eremis and Justin entered the kitchen then, both appearing quite eager to join in on the impromptu meal. Ravin chuckled when he spotted the merc, who had recently consumed two tainted steaks and a full bowl of stew. "Justin must have a bottomless pit for a stomach," he whispered to Laurel while continuing to saw away at the meat."

Tia fluffed up a pillow and placed it under Corum's head before laying his staff beside him on the bed. After removing his boots and the bulky pouches at his waist, she drew the blanket over him, smiling at the peaceful look on his face.

Ignoring her growling stomach, Tia slid a chair over to the side of the bed and sat down. Although she was starving, she was determined to stay put and keep a silent vigil over the skull-staff wielder. She whispered prayers to at least a dozen different deities, asking for Corum's complete and speedy recovery.

Jeremy was startled awake when he felt something sliding around his back. His eyes flew open and he found himself staring at Marz's face, which looked even nicer in the pale moonlight that came in through the window.

The ex-gang leader hugged him close as he slept. Jeremy didn't budge an inch when Marz buried his face into his shoulder and tossed a leg over his. He smiled contentedly then began twisting a stand of Marz's thick hair between his fingers. "We are like, so perfect together, dude," he whispered, before placing a kiss on the cheek of his unconscious bed partner.
