On a personal level, Freaking Out is a process whereby an individual casts off outmoded and restricting standards of thinking, dress, and social etiquette in order to express CREATIVELY his relationship to his immediate environment, and the social structure as a whole.

Corum shifted in his sleep wondering where in the world that voice was coming from, and what was freaking out anyway? All he knew was that he was comfortable, warm, sleepy, and had a massive headache. OK, why do I have a headache anyway, he thought to himself as his eyes finally opened.

He realized immediately that he was in a bed, however he couldn’t remember getting to one on his own. He did remember something hitting his head, and that was the last thing he remembered. As he surveyed the ceiling of the room it dawned on him that this was not his room. He was still on the fine line of sleep, and waking up, and slowly turned his head as he took in his surroundings.

The room was too neat; therefore it couldn’t be his room. If it wasn’t his room, then whose was it? He turned his head in the opposite direction, and spotted the most beautiful person he had ever seen. “I must be dreaming,” the youth mumbled as he tried rubbing his eyes. When he looked again the beautiful person was still there. He stared at the person wondering why she looked so worried.

Don’t mind your make up, you’d better make your mind up.

As total consciousness finally came into play, not to mention an insult from Yorik, who just happened to be lying next to him, Corum noticed that it was Tia who was sitting next to the bed. “Uh, hi there,” was all he managed to say. Corum tried to sit up, and wondered how, and where the dizziness had come from. He paused a bit before he stopped spinning, and closed his eyes. When he opened them again, he had stopped spinning. That’s when Corum’s stomach started to grumble. “Wow, I think I must be hungry, why else would everything hurt?”

Tia simply smiled, and helped the youth get his bearings. Corum found his boots, and again wondered what had happened, and how they had come off. He simply shrugged, put them back on, and then found the various sacks he carried. Something was very strange here, but that was all right. He fastened them as before, grabbed Yorik, and tried to stand……and found himself sitting in the bed. He smiled at Tia realizing he must look like the fool. “I really must be hungry. My body is so weak it doesn’t want to get up.”

Corum tried again, and this time with a little help from Tia, managed to stay upright. After a few carefully placed footsteps, Corum was able to make it down the stairs with Tia’s help. Tia explained to him what had happened, and how he had gotten to her room.

All righty then!

Corum rolled his eyes as they finally arrived at the dining room. “Whoa!” Corum stated as he stared at the damage in the room. He hadn’t remembered it that way, but he had remembered some things attacking him. He made his way to a chair, and was about to pour himself some of the tainted java. Tia quickly dispersed with the pitcher leaving Corum with a perplexed look on his face. “What did I do?”
