He thought back to the incident back at the centaur camp by the pond. Jeremy had said he was confusing, but he didn’t know why… it wasn’t as if there was some difference between the way the men and women of the group acted. They were both aggressive, playful and emotional, depending on the situation… what was the big difference between them that had caused the women to simply exclude the men from picking out new clothes?
Not even the worry of Jeremy’s monster-inflicted injury could fully shake the disappointment he felt at the thought of being completly left out. He wasn’t Male, which seemed to be the reason that the men of the group had been excluded. He wasn’t female, but he looked like one. Why wasn’t that good enough? He acted just as feminine as the women, but then so did the men of the group at times. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t really see any inherent difference between the two human genders, and he coudln't see what divided them. what made one group male, and the other female, and why they would segregate themselves from the others.
Well! That’s the last time I save anyone from a people-eating wall. he decided rather pettishly. If he ever got his powers back, he decided, no one was getting ANY wishes.
