After smearing a little salve on his palm, Ravin wrapped a clean cloth around his hand. The burn felt better almost immediately. He tossed his magical trap detecting stone to Erlic and watched as his fellow thief examined one of the trunks. "I think you better have a look at this," the guildmaster said a moment later.

Ravin's heart began to race when he caught sight of all the treasure contained within the trunk. How had the Sharm amassed such a fortune? A closer look showed him that many of the coins mixed with various gems were quite different than the ones used in Neromba nowadays. Perhaps the religious fanatics discovered most of the treasure buried under the ruins of the city of Twilight. Didn't he hear Kazabet say that great riches could be found hidden within the Ghost Lands of Neromba?

"I think we should leave a few members of our group here to guard this while the rest of us go off in search of those branches," he said, as Erlic moved to the second trunk. Ravin tried not to grin when the guildmaster was knocked back a few feet by some magical trap that was set on the tomes inside. No matter how careful a thief was, magical traps always proved to be a problem.

"Can't have everything now can we?" Erlic asked, after Ravin helped him back to his feet.

The younger thief glanced at the tomes and shrugged. No doubt they would bring a lot of money from mages that might be interested in purchasing them but Ravin wasn't about to use all the charges on his stone to negate all the traps on them. "Since the trunk itself isn't trapped maybe we can just cart the entire thing off with us when we leave. I think those Rocs can carry quite a bit and Kazabet might give us a big bonus once she sees all those tomes."

While waiting for some response from Erlic, Ravin's eyes wandered to a crooked picture that hung on the west wall. He moved toward it, not surprised to find a wall safe hidden behind it. After removing the picture and doing a thorough search for, and removing the traps that were present, he picked the lock. As soon as he opened the safe and peered into its depths he thought about the long tunnels beneath the Medieval Tavern.

A cold sweat broke out on Ravin's forehead as he spun around to face Erlic. "Eremis knows about the secret entrance that leads into the tavern," he said. "You better send word and warn them to post some guards by that oak tree."
