When Rowan let go of her, Tia smacked him across the shoulder. "You were suppose to pull me away from the wall, NOT let in drag me in you ninny!" Her eyes crackled with angry red flashes as she glanced around. She stared at the moon in the distance. It didn't look quite right for some reason. It was full when it was supposed to be only a half moon and it shone against a sky of black that matched the walls in this place.

Tia moved closer to a wall and realized that the moon remained stationary. "That's not the moon," she cried. "It's something that's attacked to the wall up there." Employing her climbing skills, she scaled the wall easily, reaching the disk shaped object that resembled the moon a few minutes later. "Catch" she called, unhooking the thing from the wall and letting it drop into Rowan's waiting hands.

A moment later she was back on the ground beside him, smiling at the disk that provided them with a good amount of light. When Rowan let it shine across the area they were in, Tia's eyes widened in excitement. Gold coins and gems were splattered along the ground along with a couple of twelve-inch long wands, rings, and rolled up scrolls.

Quickly, she retrieved an empty sack from her pack and scooped all the items inside except for one of the wands. "I wonder if this does anything," she said, turning it over in her hands. "Look! It has the word, vidus inscribed on it." Suddenly, a flame shot out from the wand hitting a wall near them and showering them with a backlash of sparks, and heat.

Tia dropped the wand and patted Rowan's sleeve to smother the tiny fire that had started from one of the sparks that hit him. "Sorry," she muttered, eyeing his smoking sleeve for a moment longer before picking up the wand again. "I guess I better not say that word again, huh?" She slipped the wand inside her waist belt while instructing Rowan to shine the moon disk into the distance.

Tia gulped when she saw a bunch of human and animal remains ahead, but her fear vanished when she caught sight of more treasure lying beside the bones of the deceased. She dragged Rowan forward, stuffing anything that looked valuable into her sack. "What's that?" she asked after hearing a creaking noise.

They glanced around quickly and found a rope ladder materialize against one of the walls. "I'll go first," Tia said, cupping a dagger in her hand as she mounted the rope staircase. It seemed to lead into a dried up well whose walls crumbled with age. Tia smiled when she saw the actual half moon above her head then climbed over the side of the well, her feet coming to rest on ground that was made up of a mixture of dirt and salt. "I think we're in a different area of the ruins," she said, as she pulled Rowan from the well.

When they heard something near one of the buildings in the distance, they crouched down and peered around the well to see a dog approaching. Rowan reached for a rock to throw but Tia stayed his hand. The animal wagged its tail and barked then turned as if to go. A moment later it faced them again then padded up to Tia and grabbed her sleeve in its teeth and tried to pull her. "Alright already!" Tia said, laughing at the dog. "I get the picture. You want us to follow you, right?"

The dog wagged its tail again then waited for them to get to their feet. It then led them across the street to where Isobel was trying to see into the window of a building. "Looking for us?" Tia quipped, drawing the woman's attention.
