Tia was about to say something to Tristan when Rowan appeared, handing her the skimpy outfit along with an even skimpier apology. She gave the elf a glare that Tristan would have been proud of before putting the garment in her pack. Her eyes returned to the food, but her appetite had fled the moment Rowan sat down.

"Come on," she said suddenly, pulling Tristan to his feet and dragging him into the nearest tent. She liked the dragon, and since he seemed truly interested in what was bothering her, she decided to tell him.

After a quick peek out the flap to make sure no one had followed them, she turned her violet eyes to Tristan. "It's Rowan!" she said, practically hissing out the elf's name. "He drives me crazy! One minute I think he might be attracted to me, and the next I feel like he views me as a kid sister."

Tia stomped her foot in anger then began pacing around the tent. "I know I don’t have a body like those Jann women, but neither does Jeremy! I'm not hideous, am I?" She moved closer to the dragon, stopping about two feet away from him so he could get a good look at her face. "Well? Am I ugly?"

When Tristan gave her a nearly inaudible no, she nodded in satisfaction. "A few hours ago, Rowan told me he likes kissing me, but I know for a fact that he also like kissing Jeremy too, and Kazabet, and anyone else who puckers up for him, so I guess I'm not so special, huh?" Her cheeks reddened in anger. "MEN! Who needs the jerks!?" She cringed after meeting the dragon's eyes. "No offense, Tristan. I really don't think you're a jerk."

She slipped the pack off her shoulder and pulled out the garment the Jann had made for her, holding it up for Tristan to see. "I'll tell you a secret. I had this made specifically for Rowan." When the dragon raised a brow, she immediately amended her words. "I mean, I had it made for ME to wear in front of Rowan………maybe someday, if……if we ever got close, you know?"

A look of sadness crossed her face as she shoved the outfit back into the bag. "But, Rowan found the garment and displayed it to everyone, while lewdly suggesting that I put it on for him. How dare he make me feel like some little tramp!" Tia let out a long exaggerated sigh. "I guess I'm just over reacting and being pretty silly. I don’t know what's gotten into me, Tristan. I was a perfectly normal girl, completely in control of my emotions until I met Rowan. For some reason that elf ties my stomach in knots when he's close, and whenever he looks at me with those gorgeous blue eyes of his my heart starts to beat wildly. Just when I think something might happen between us, he takes off with Jeremy. I just have to stop letting Rowan get to me like that!"

A tiny smile lit up her impish face then as she rushed to give Tristan a hug. "Thanks for listening to me", she said, when she backed away. "I feel better now that I got some things off my chest. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'll be there for you, Tristan." She slung the pack over her shoulder then moved to the tent flap. "I really wish we had more time to talk now, but if we don’t get back out there, they'll probably take off without us!"

Marz stared after the retreating figures of Tristan and Tia, wondering what the hell was going on. The dragon wasn't very sociable yet he seemed to be getting pretty chatting with Tia lately. Before he could ponder the phenomenon any further, Jeremy drew his attention.

"Check this out, Marz," the youth said, holding up a thin strip of black leather. "It's a thong! All of the hunky guys on my world wear them."

"Then what are YOU doing with one?" Marz asked with a laugh.

Jeremy's face reddened briefly then he shrugged and handed the thong to Saras for inspection. "I accidentally packed it away in my bag after a sleep over at a friend's house," he whispered to the genie.

After popping a piece of sausage into his mouth, he poked Rowan in the ribs and spoke loud enough for Marz to hear. "Did you see how fast Tia dragged Tristan off? I guess she decided to put on that SKIMPY outfit for HIM. I had a feeling there was something going on between those two."

Marz nearly choked on the java he was swallowing then turned his eyes to the tent housing the dragon and the nymph. No way! Tristan couldn't possibly be interested in having an affair with Tia, could he?

"They been in there for quite a while," Jeremy chirped. "Bet they're getting all cozy together. If that tent had windows they'd probably be all steamed up by now."

Marz narrowed his eyes, tossed his plate to the ground then jumped to his feet, pulling Corum up beside him. "Let's go check on the camels and pick out the best of the lot to ride."

Justin announced that he would share a camel with Alakbar before following after Corum and Marz with the prince in tow. By acting like a personal bodyguard to Alakbar, he hoped the youth's father would shower him with an extra reward once they returned his son to him. With that thought in mind, he threw his arm around the prince's shoulders. "Stick with me, boy cause I'm the only one in this group who's good enough to keep you safe from those stupid assassins!"

Thankfully, Alakbar had grown quite accustomed to the awful smell of mold that he had to live during his years of captivity, so the merc's odor didn't seem to bother him at all.

Ravin forced himself to drink the awful tasting concoction Val handed him. Once he finished it, he rinsed his mouth out with a few swigs of ale then turned to face Isobel. Although Ravin hated showing any weakness, he knew that he was going to need some assistance boarding the camel, and it sounded like she had some experience with the animals.

"Do you think you could help me out with those camels?" he asked lowly. "I haven't traveled much so there was never a need to rely on anything but my own two legs for transportation before. In fact, I think I've only been on a horse twice so you can see why I'm a bit leery about boarding a beast with a big hump sticking out of its back."

He gave her a warm smile then went back to sipping his ale, while waiting for her answer.
