Author: Jeremy and Tia
Subject: About home, eyesight, and other things of interest
In reply to: Rowan Silvertree 's message, "Thinking about home" on 01:17:01 12/28/01 Fri

Jeremy rolled his eyes when Rowan began preaching to him about Marz. "I wasn't throwing myself at him," he said. "I'm just being nice to him is all. That's more than I can say about Tristan. That dude seems to treat him like shit so I'm sure Marz will get tired of him sooner of later. And, when that happens I'll move right in because I already KNOW that Marz likes me." When he saw Tia and Val making their way back to the campfire, Jeremy changed the subject and began talking about his homeland again.

Tia felt a lot better after her conversation with Val. The healer assured her that her vision would return to normal although he couldn't guarantee when. "I know I need to be more patient," she told him as he led her back to Rowan's side.

She could barely make out a wisp of bright color coming from Jeremy's hair as he told Rowan that the year 2000 was approaching on his home world. "Everyone intends to have a wild celebration to ring in that new year but I'm going to miss it because I HAD to fall into that stupid portal!"

Tia felt sorry for the youth. It must have been awful for him to wake up in a strange, new world without any of his friends or family around. At least he had Rowan to take care of him now. She felt around for her mug then sipped at the java while listening to Jeremy go on about things he called automobiles and airplanes. From the way the youth described these devices Tia was positive there was some powerful magic on the world he came from!

She set down her mug and faced Rowan when he asked her what Valhorek had to say. "He promised me that my eyesight will return to normal soon," she said with a smile. "I just have to be patient, but that's kind of hard, you know? I mean, I want to see NOW, Rowan!" Tia sighed then rested her head against Rowan's shoulder. She loved sitting so close to the handsome elf. For some reason, his presence always made her feel warm and happy inside.

The petite thief jumped when she heard Barry's voice in her ear. She pushed away from Rowan and reached out until her hands came in contact with the skull. After easing Barry onto her lap, she stroked the top of his bony head, nearly poking him in the eye in the process. "What did you look like when you had a full body?" she asked. "I bet you were handsome and had tons of pretty ladies begging for your attention, right?"
