Subject: With his very loud complaints against the Don and Mike listener for pranking him, he's crossed the line from the strident issues talker to another shock jock ... more schtick than substance. Take a look at his website. It's about selling trinkets and junk. In his quest for a broader national audience, he's sold out after years ago claiming " I am not beholden to any interests."

MSNBC was right to get rid of Savage. He was inappropriate and highly offfensive. It is not a matter of "free speech" in this instance, it was a matter of a network attempting to build or maintain an image of professionalism.

But what ever impelled MSNBC to hire that guy in the first place? It is true that he might bring in a big audience, but even if he did, how does Savage's presence give an air of professionalism? They knew what he was a provacateur, not a serious commentator. Shame on MSNBC for hiring him, but they did right by his firing.

It was like watching a "Goat Rodeo", he was all over the place. Plus, I tired of him hawking his book.... would never buy it.
