Subject: City Paper Article...WHAT

Did anybody read the "City Paper" article last week on how blacks and whites differ on their support of the Iraqi war, featuring comments by Reggie Bryant and Dom G.? A word about WHAT. Reggie Bryant has some brains but he is clearly a race baiter. Karen Warrington is a functional illiterate who specializes in prefacing every remark with "in terms of" to give her the false veneer of having acquired some degree of formal education. And Mary Mason, what else can you conclude except that she is a social retard and stupid?

WHAT certainly is depressing. As noted above, Bryant has some brains unlike some other talk hosts on that station, but at the same time hs is the most vitriolic of them all, with the possible exception of Michael Cord.

Bryant, on a daily basis, proves himself to be an unrelenting racist and America hater. In the current saga of the situation in Iraq, it is clear that Bryant is hoping for failure on the part of the American military, and it even seems that he is rooting for a high casualty rate among the coalition forces, American in particular.

Similar race baiting by white talk show hosts would not be tolerated for long, at least not in Philadelphia. Why does WHAT get a free pass on that?

There is really only one theme that cuts across all the local shows on WHAT, i.e., Mary's, Reggie's, Karen's and Johnny's, and that is "we've been done wrong by the white man and we are going to whine about it until hell freezes over." Maybe Reggie gets by with his outlandish racist views because only his faithful audience is listening. He seems to get the same callers everyday.
