Subject: 50,000 watt clear channel stations in Philly

Why does Philly have only one 50,000 watt clear channel station WPHT and should KYW be the 2nd clear channel station since it is 50,000 watts? What can 1060 or the other radio stations do to make KYW a clear channel station so that it can be heard in 38 states and what does the term clear channel mean?
