Subject: The Big Talker 1210 in 2003

1210 AM The Big Talker Club Email:

I'd like to talk to you about some programming changes we are making to ring in 2003. Adding more live and local programming has always been our goal at The Big Talker 1210. You've told us that you want more programming that effects your community and we've listened. So, effective this week, we've implemented a few changes to our already strong broadcast schedule to make the station even better.

Many of you have emailed or written to please give Jeff Katz more air time and we are now extending The Jeff Katz Show from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 to 7 on Friday. Jeff's a Philly guy, born and raised in the Northeast. His live and local show offers strong opinions, personal insights, intriguing guests and a contemporary mix of hard issues, lifestyle topics and humor. And frankly for what we're paying him, we're going to make Jeff work a little harder in 2003.

Start your day ahead of the bulls and the bears. For all you early risers, we are launching The Wall Street Journal This Morning which will air live Monday through Friday 5 to 6 a.m. Hosted by Ron Kilgor, the program brings the powerful brand of the Wall Street Journal to radio. With all of us worried about our economy, the program offers you the day's first look at the top business-news stories in an engaging and informative voice. The show previews The Journal's take on what to watch for later in the day in the world of business, money, the markets, travel, technology, marketing, media, careers, and more.

Jim Cramer's Real Money will continue to air Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. and his Real Money Minutes will hopefully continue on a daily basis.

With the retirement of Art Bell, George Noory takes over and will fill your overnights with strange tales of the unexplainable from 2 to 5 a.m. For the past year, Noory has captivated program listeners while maintaining the texture and sound of the show set by Art Bell.

On Sunday nights the incredible Matt Drudge gets another hour. Check out one of America's most talked about journalists from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

That's it for now. Thanks again for spending your time with us at The Big Talker 1210. As always we welcome your input.

Grace Blazer
Program Director

What a waste of 7 paragraphs. Sounds like programming a college radio station. One hour of this then two hours of that.

What a waste....thank goodness for the ability to receive better programming else where on the AM dial.

[> "Adding more live and local programming has always been our goal ...." She then goes on to mention ONE local program, and FOUR syndicated shows. Oh well. Why should the announcement email be any more coherent than the programming schedule? -- Rockford, 11:41:15 01/10/03 Fri
