Subject: So the clock's ticking, huh?

Yeah, well, I think those spots are designed to scare little old ladies into never changing the station... almost reminiscent of the 2000 debates "but if you vote for HIM you'll be eating dog food!"

I was thinking the spot should have went something like this:

"The game is over, the clock is ticking... and when the bombs start to fall, we'll be there for you... with an infomercial from the Good Feet Store."

[> It's called appealing to your target audience. It's a shame we don't get Hannity's show down here in this backwater market. Then you could all get your shorts in a wad over liners comparing liberals to "girly-men" and "the clock is ticking... inside Saddam's thick skull!" Great stuff. -- Tilde, 14:02:42 02/21/03 Fri

[> [> Ironic as it is that a hysterical woman like Sean Hannity would call anyone a 'girly-man', I'm not arguing that hosts shouldn't take any position they want. This is different. It's not enough to have hosts who present a near-monolith of opinion, PHT has decided with these spots to forfeit their place as an independent media outlet, and become a fully erect Organ of the State. THAT'S Creepy. But enough of my opinions, click to find out what the critics are saying (more) -- Rockford, 11:23:12 02/24/03 Mon

"I don't see what's wrong with them. I especially like the 'great leaders' salute" - Nikita Khrushchev

"What the hell.....?" - Thomas Jefferson

"I love these spots! They remind me of when I was a little boy, and my dad would tell me stories." - George Orwell Jr.
