Subject: Another *NSYNC concert added

Hey A-Skee, did you know they added another concert at Oakland? July 22nd. Tickets go on sale this weekend on the 25th. I guess they heard about all the complaints of bad seats/view in stadium seating because I really don't think there's enough fans for them to make a profit up here in Northern California to have TWO concerts in a row. Maybe they don't plan to do a second leg in the fall like they usually do (or they're not coming back) so they're making up for that now.

J and C Skees...you guys got your tickets for the show yet? I'm not even sure if it's on sale over there yet. They have this thing where if you sign up for MSN, you get first buy before the general public. A tad unfair in my opinion, especially since they also reserved seats for the fan club already (which is more fair).

I have a new fascination/obsession. Yet another British actor has caught my fancy, LOL! Trivial information to you folks, I'm sure, but since I have nothing else worth noting in my pathetic life, I thought I'd share. His name is Colin Firth (my other favorite is Peter Winfield) and he starred as Mr. Darcy in the BBC/A&E version of "Pride and Prejudice" which is based on the novel of the same name by Jane Austen, my favorite author. I've been watching the movie in the school library during my lunch break -- it's a six-parter and I've gotten up to Part 4 last Wednesday. Love it, love it, love it! My friend says they play the movie a lot on cable on the A&E channel but I don't think they're showing it anymore, bum be me. Colin Firth was suppose to the on the Today Show this morning but I taped it and didn't see him. I guess they made a mistake in the listings. He's in a new movie with Hugh Grant and Renee Zellweger called, "Bridget Jones Diary," which was filmed in England and will be opened here next month. Can't wait!

"Pride and Prejudice" is a period piece and I loved the clothes they wore back then. Simple yet elegant. The guys look so dashing in their suits and all...although I'm sure it must be quite uncomfortable under all those layers. The corsets must not be very good for the blood circulation either, LOL! The British also have this self-deprecating charm...very funny fellows and pleasing. Their accents are so cute too. Allow me to share an interview with Firth that had me rolling in laughter. Keep in mind he's a sarcastic fella and this is very tongue-in-cheek:

Q: I read that you decided to lose weight for this movie.
A: No, I did not decide to do that at all. What happened was, I was threatened with the prospect of having to take my shirt off, which was a chilling thought. So I thought that rather change profession, I will get a trainer and try and do something about it. Actually, what was going to happen was that during the fight scene with Hugh [Grant], it was going to culminate with our shirts being ripped off from our rippling, sweaty backs and have our dynamic torsos unleashed upon the female population of the world and they would barely recover.

Q: What was it like to fight Hugh Grant?
A: It was a delicious experience. Hugh will tell you that I fight like a girl, which he's been saying a lot lately. All I can say in response, is that it takes one to know one. He was the first one to pull my hair; I would never have dreamt of doing that. And he scratches as well. So that should give you an idea of HIS character.

LOL!

I'm still doing more research on this guy but it's back to homework for me so I guess that'll have to do that another day. I hope you're all doing well, or at least as best as can be. If you have any new interests or hobbies, do share. It's getting pretty slow on the board and I know I'm to blame too. Sorry guys! Love ya much. *hugs*
