Subject: Justin Timberlake Stands in for Elton John

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - It appears Elton John is not longer interested in being an MTV icon. The singer is leaving the glory and the fame to those like Robert Downey Jr. and… Justin Timberlake?

Following the example of John's last video, "I Want Love," which featured troubled actor Downey lip-synching to the lyrics of the single, the "Rocket Man's" new video will star the *N Sync member pretending to sing John's song "The Train Don't Stop There Any More," according to New York Daily News.

Timberlake even went as far as donning John's trademark big, round glasses and platform shoes for the video.

"I thought I'd have to coach Justin, but he ended up blowing everybody away," marvels director David LaChapelle. "He knew so many of Elton's mannerisms."

The "Train" video will debut in late December.
