Joey In Hospital with Pneumonia, Misses San Antonio Date(8/6) from Megan : "I attended the Nsync concert yesterday (august 5) in San Antonio and the show went on with only 4 of the members present. Joey, unfortunately, is in a Florida hospital with pneumonia. During the time in the show where the guys usually read out fan mail, Chris had Joey on the phone as the Alamodome screamed "We love you Joey!" to cheer him up. Joey being in the hospital was confirmed at the start of the show by Johnny Wright, their manager, who was the MC for the night. Our prayers will be with Joey so that he will make a full recovery.

Fatone Back 'N Sync
(8/7) from Rolling Stone: 'N Sync's Joey Fatone was sidelined by pneumonia for the group's August 5th show in San Antonio, Texas. Fatone's bought of bronchitis developed into pneumonia, and the singer was hospitalized on Saturday but has since been released. He is expected to get back onstage with his 'N Sync (news - web sites) brethren tonight for a show in Birmingham, Alabama. 'N Sync manager Johnny Wright broke the news to fans in San Antonio informing them that Fatone would not take the stage. But Chris Kirkpatrick gave Fatone a call during the show letting him hear all the well-wishers in the crowd. Meanwhile all of 'N Sync had to sit out a show in Miami on August 2nd because of the tropical storm that passed through the city damaging part of the group's computerized lighting system. The group will not reschedule that date, but instead refund fans.

Joey catches pneumonia; The tour continues

Joey wasn't at the San Antonio concert last night (August 5th) because he is currently suffering from pneumonia - an acute or chronic disease marked by inflammation of the lungs and caused by viruses, bacteria, or other microorganisms and sometimes by physical and chemical irritants.

The remaining four members, Justin, Chris, JC and Lance, called him from the concert and the crowd screamed, "We Love You Joey" to him.

Johnny Wright, *NSYNC's manager, announced to the crowd that Joey is in Florida Hospital in Orlando.

Johnny also said, "Unlike some OTHER bands, we are going to go on with only four members and not postpone the tour." Justin, Chris, JC and Lance will continue to do concerts all week without Joey.
