I meant to mention that nathaniel beal's wife (Hannah Small) is Major William Card's neice...Hannah's mother was Hannah Card Small who grew up three houses down from the Beals. Most likely Hannah small beal's grandfather, joel card, lived with his son, major william in the 1830's. joel card died 1840 and is buried next to his son Major william. When Hannah was visiting her grandfather is when nathaniel beal meet hannah. (Hannah grew up about 4 miles from Nathaniel and had different school districts). Hannah's grandfather was 1/2 mile down the road from nathaniel beal.
