William lived in cumberland Co., PA and then moved to GA. Subsequently, he moved to TN. On his death, his wife Agnes McCurdy moved back to GA. There is a book "McCurdy's of Stone Mountain" that references much of this. I have a copy of William's will from the archives in Nashville, TN.

I am suspicious that William was not born in Antrim, Northern Ireland, but have no record stating otherwise. It is oral history relative to his birth. William served in the PA militia and my great aunt Colburn has already been recorded in the DAR.

I am descended from William's son John who married a Sarah Bell. I believe Sarah is the half sister of Catherine Bell.

I also have a copy of John's will from Bedford, County, TN.

My line, goes from William to John, James b 1801 in GA, James M., Wilson Otho and Russell Gilmore. (Still haven't figured out the Gilmore source)
