A positive result is not always the worst news in the world because, in Sherry Pederson's case, she turned her bad news into positive action. As a result of her personal experience with having ovarian cancer, she is now studying to become a genetic counselor to help others in the future in her situation. A negative result is not always the best news because, in Lani's case, she felt great guilt that she was spared having the mutated gene while her sister had cancer and this feeling affected her relationship with her sister.
