I agree with Kara in that she states that you can plan for your future and the future of your family. I personally feel that a need for control is an appropriate reason to be tested. By knowing that you have a deadly disease, one could plan the rest of his or her life accordingly. The afflicted person will be able to prepare their family and to also do whatever he or she has always dreamed of doing. I also agree with Kara in that testing provides control over providing a secure future for you and your family. A person will be able to tell their family members of how much he or she loves them, and will be able to accomplish everything he or she wants to before they get to ill.
