The whole vampire physiology has always been a puzzle to me. We know they don’t require oxygen so strangling is not much of an issue. Somewhere I read that cutting off the blood flow to the brain could be a problem but if you don’t need oxygen why would you need blood flow? Since vampires do not breath, how do they smoke? Is there some kind of vacuum effect? Speaking of blood flow, just how is that accomplished since we know the heart does not beat yet we have seen vampires bleed (although not in copious amounts). If there is no blood flow, how do male vampires have sex. We know that Spike is incapable of having metaphorical sex with humans but seems to have absolutely no problem with actual sex. So how does he do it without blood flow. Is he permanently erect (if the erection persists for more than 120 years, please immediately see your doctor)? If not, just how does he inflate/deflate? I know this sounds a bit perverted but these questions really require an answer (maybe they are perverted and maybe I am also).
