Wesley�s isolation was part of the problem. The woman he loved (lusted after?) just recently commenced an affair with one of his buddies, thus, in Wes� mind, removing both as potential confidants. Angel had sent Cordy and Groo off on a vacation com-shucking. There was nobody to serve as a sounding board. Given Wesley�s penchant for alienation, I am not sure he would of availed himself of any help anyway but he really did not have any viable options.
