As he approached the town, Frederick stopped for a moment, and shed his traveller's cloak. The full-plate, now gleaming in the sunlight would be sure to attract attention. Which would mean, it would keep the thieves away, today. He placed it in the saddlebag, atop the precious item he was carrying to town today. From the same saddlebag, he withdrew a banner, and unfurled it, revealing the colors of the noble house of Braun. Unrecognized as they would be, it would still keep the unwanted elements away. He slid the banner onto his lance point, securing it against a lashing that was intended for this purpose. Then, he tied the lance upright against the right side of his horse, so the banner floated loosely in the wind. Remounting his noble steed, he continued onto the road into town.

Whistling a little song he had picked up, he spurred his horse on a little. As he approached the great city, he drew in his breath. It was enoromous! He had seen nothing like this, ever. He felt as if he had stumbled upon something greater than anything he could have imagined. But then, noticing something, he blinked. It appeared as if it were a carriage, stalled just in the outskirts of the town. This in and of itself was odd. However, there was something familiar about that carriage. He continued to ride towards it, until he got within easy sight of it.

Frederick suddenly remembered WHY it looked familiar. It's house colors. The colors of Cafall, the blue, and the grey. The same house who had raised the very mount he now rode on. There was obviously something amiss here. He spurred his steed to a gallop, and covered the last hundred yards within a quick time. Slowing to an easy trot as he came aside the carriage, he stopped at the rear door, gently knocking on it, with a gauntleted hand...
