Angharad heard the rapping on the carriage door. Surely, it couldn't be thieves again, could it? She drew her knife, just in case. A quick look around the carriage interior showed that her father was preoccupied with trying to wake her mother, who had fainted. Aidan was looking at Angharad expectantly - she was closest to the door. "You going to open it, An, or are you going to sit there?"

She threw her brother a look and opened the door, knife at the ready. When it swung out, she was almost blinded by light reflecting off of plate armor. She threw up the knife-less arm to shield her eyes, blinked, and managed to see the man who had knocked. She noticed his standard, but didn't recognize the name. "Wh--" she stopped herself. It wasn't her place to ask the name of someone who outranked her. A nobleman of even the smallest House was of more importance than any unmarried noblewoman lower than a princess. She almost curtsied, then realized she was sitting. She bobbed her head to show respect. "May I help you, milord? I am Angharad, daughter of Devin of Cafall. My good father is indisposed at the moment, but my brother Ai-- Goodness, is that one of OUR horses?" She'd glanced down at the man's steed. "It is, isn't it? Of course it is." She beckoned her brother, her voice changing from the dulcet tones of a high-born lady to an excited girl's prattle. "Aidan, look! D'you remember it? That's the one we took on the picnic on the first day of spring, was it three years ag--" She stopped herself again. She really must try to catch herself BEFORE speaking. She softened her voice and apologized. "Forgive me, milord. I fear I was carried away by the joy of the moment. It isn't often one sees an old friend walking the streets."
