David, who performed the study of the Czech wolfdogs vs. the GSDs? I'm curious as to why they would do a study on stamina comparisons with a GSD instead of say the Alaskan sled dogs. A far superior animal to the wolf and the GSD in that sense. One example is that some native Alaskans have unsuccessfully tried mixing wolves into their lines to achieve a better performance.

I'm also curious to see why they were comparing wolves and dogs. Although the dog has its own set of problems, I believe that in an evolutionary and biological sense the dog is a much more superior specimen than the wolf. The population of dogs makes the population of wolves look miniscule, regardless of the reasons, it is an evolutionary success.
