I fully agree with Terry. Check all the boards you can find. Read and follow the threads. You can and will begin to realize who loves these dogs, and who considers them merchandice. Any information that you read and question can be easily verified. Researching illnesses and problems that you see mentioned is not difficult. Every University Vet Hospital/research center is on the internet. Look for satisfied buyers, but by all means don't ignore the ones that are not. And above all realize that everyone posting on these boards has a reason for what they are saying. Try to understand what that reason is. Privately email anyone you are interested in and see what you get. Watch out for sales oriented responses as they are always coated with sugar and everything nice, but probably stink like ****!! Don't give up on the Boerboel, because once you have one you will know without question, they will not give up on you. Good Luck, but don't let it just be luck, do your homework. Sincerely, Ed Davis
