Can't pass up this one. A few years ago I would have been against this, but things change. Those who don't keep up with change, get left behind. Those who have been aroud a while saw the Plott breed come from hidden hollers in western N C , tobeing recognized word wide, and it happened quickly! Our breed is very much like the Plotts were and I beleive could acheive the same status, if promoted by UKC, on EQUAL terms. Some will say UKC ruined the Plott dog, but I say they would be just another Cur breed, if not for UKC. Nothing wrong with a Cur, EXCEPT lack of recognition. As for it changing the style, tose who want to breed comp dogs already do, in our breed and other Cur breeds. Breeders with a goal, will still breed for it.
The onlt thing I dont like is not calling them CUR. Rex
