 Racing is a big game of chance. You build a car knowing there is a chance it may get destroyed the first time out or blow a motor. There is not a 100% legal car on the track and if there is, they are running in the back & have no need to worry about a protest. I agree with the protest and fee's. The only thing I would change under the current rules is that if you are protested and refuse the protest or found illegal on what has been protested, the protester gets his money back and the "protested" pays the the protest fee as a fine. If the fine is not paid at the end of the protest then they are suspended until it has been paid. If you are protested & found legal then the track splits the protest fee with you.
