Doug was a great guy. He and I worked together at 3WS during his first couple of years in Pittsburgh. He drank Diet Pepsi, two two-liter bottles during the course of a show. He was very well read and told interesting stories from his time in Florida and New Jersey. And he was a huge Sinatra fan. I believe he told me that he once hung out with Jim Morrison, too.

Doug was a unique personality and person.
