If by "top shows" you only mean "were on the air for a long time", just compile a list of every morning show, how long it was on the air, and sort by longevity.

As for "top shows" in terms of being good, compelling radio, fun to listen to, and something you'd make a point of tuning in to, there are only a few I'd call "top".

Cordic and Company
Jimmie and Stevie
O'Brien and Gary
The 'DVE Morning Show for it's first five or six years.

That last one is also a candidate for one of the absolute "bottom shows". It started slipping after a while, and just kept getting worse and worse.

I'd give honorable mention to "Quinn in the Morning". If you didn't agree with Quinn's politics, you wouldn't like his show. But aside from being the only political talk show in morning drive I've ever heard of*, it was a different variation on the typical political talk show.

* Since I only listened to the radio in Pittsburgh, I don't know or care about what's in other markets. If I can't tune it in on my radio, for me it doesn't exist.
