I worked In radio years ago, but just to visit--I once visited WRUA in Monroeville during one of Terry Lee's shows. A friend of mine was working on a project with him and I went like no. And one night I hung out in the 13Q air studio during Don Bombard's Sunday Night Oldies Party.

True story--I was in college when Bombard was doing that show and playing in a rock band with some buddies. We wrote and recorded a song (on a basement tape deck) about Bombard's show and sent him a tape. He played it on the air. He wanted us to create a more polished recording to use as a theme, but studio time was expensive. So he changed the words slightly and got Jimmy Beaumont to record it as his theme, an used it from then on.

I later learned about copyrighting your material, but it's all good. Bombard was a nice guy and the story is fun to tell years later.
