Joe that is actually incorrect. My print of Charley's intro episode has a variation of announcement, "My Three Sons... Starring Fred MacMurray" and then mentions the original sponsors of that episode (Quaker Oats and Ken-L Ration Dog Food). William Demarest's credit ("and as Uncle Charley.. William Demarest")isn't seen until the closing credits. Whilst it's true that are always a chance of inconsistent anomalies popping up when the episodes are prepared for syndication by Paramount/Viacom, my print is the original network version as screened on ABC on January 14, 1965.
