Thanks for the reply. I would like for someone smarter than me to give me an idea how to mount the pin for the yuloh on the transom though. The prying loads on the pin must be pretty dang high if one leans their body weight on the yuloh and pulls just as hard with their body weight on the opposite stroke. I'm probably wrong, but it seems that just screwing a plate (with the pin welded on) to lazarette deck is just not going to work. Or is the fiberglass with a backing plate and bolts strong enough? Any help from you folks "out there doing it" would be appreciated. I do like the idea of oarlocks in the winch handle sockets, but I think the motion of the yuloh is better for me. Plenty of body weight, but not too strong. Plus, the yuloh seems to be such an elegant solution for auxiliary propulsion. Of course, the rowing would take care of the not too strong part after a while.
