Mr. Cohen loosed his grip on the leather lead so that Chantilly could graze quietly on the lush grass beneath them. Chantilly was always the hack winner with an unbeatable headset and gait. Although she is a nice mare, you can't just abandom her before a fence. You need to ask her for a distance, or she may pat the ground before the jump. Besides Chanitlly's eye for the distances, nothing more needed to be worked on, save for the occasional schooling on the flat for balance and muscle. She was trained 6 days a week in Europe for a year before being imported at age 5. Then she was shown heavely on the A-Circuit up until now, where she is for sale.

Mr. Cohan directs all his attention to Taylor, eager to answer all of her questions. He smiles softly and nods at her noticing Chantilly's fine build. At her question, Mr. Cohan nods and answers easily, knowing everything about the mare. Chantilly was imported only two years ago so when she first got here she was shown in the Baby Greens (3'9)for three months. She was then moved into the jumpers to see what she could do. Her rider entered in a few Pre-Prelims (4'), then to Grand Prix (6'-6'9). She was first or second at every show so this past month she was shown heavely in the Working Hunters(4'2-4'6) to give her a break. I have had one of my daughters show her to keep her in shape but i have only had her shown in the Big Eq and McLay medal classes. He hoped her show records would be enough for Taylor. Chanitlly was one of the finest mares he had come across in a long time. The thing that impressed him the most was her ability to go from 6' to 4' back to 6' with the greatest of ease.
