I don't think the internet can be easily regulated. www stands for WORLD wide net. There may be international laws which govern internet providers, but I don't imagine there would be any teeth in those laws.

As for law suits, my b.i.l. was sued for writing something bad about an executive of a public company. I don't know the details as I don't speak to my b.i.l. anymore. I believe he was on some kind of blog or message board on Yahoo. I believe he tried to write a public apology, but it didn't work.

The long and short of it is, treat the internet as if you were standing on a stage in front of television cameras. And whatever you do, don't let anyone photograph or film you engaging in sex acts, not even your husband.

Why are there always so many video tapes of people having sex? Why would you film it? I guess some people get turned on by watching themselves having sex, but I personally think that's a little weird. When DH and I are getting romantic, the LAST thing I'm thinking about turning on is a camera! LOL

[> [> You're right, Cece. Fraud, hoaxes and scams have been around as long as there's been oral communication! The 'net just makes it easier & faster. As for cameras, there's even an old adage about never allow yourself to be photographed holding a drink. You never know how it will come back to haunt you! -- The Chief, 07:00:29 03/05/07 Mon [1]
