Subject: It was actually not just France but 9 countries on the Security Council that opposed the war. The only ones in support were US, UK, Spain. That's why the resolution was not put to the vote, and the US and UK started an illegal war based on WMD's that have yet to be located. Resolution 1441 and all the other resolutions do not mention anything about getting rid of dictators. If the UK and US really wanted to do that, they would also be going after North Korea, China, Myanmar, Zimbabwe etc...

[> [> Let's not forget some 40-odd other countries not on the security council. What is shows is how useless the security council is. Since France did not need to lobby so vociferously, just vote, why do Europeans wonder at our finally giving up on France. Their collusion with the Iraq regime is disgusting. So is the U.S.'s past attempts to appease Saddam and other tyrants. -- SurveyGuy (I don't think I'd vote to liberate France today), 17:18:44 04/20/03 Sun (pcp01422563pcs.lndsd201.pa.comcast.net/68.81.153.209)
