i am intrigued at this question, is there an inference that Harry and Charlotte only recalled due to "Overseas input", this inference is concerning and derogatory to both the dancers and the dance schools they attend. Charlotte, Harry and Mitchell should be congratulated on their success, and the recognition it brings Irish dance in New Zealand at a time when we are struggling to get numbers into our sport. Harry, Mitchell and Charlotte are all very good examples of the determination to succeed, and provide aspiration for others to achieve recognition for NZ on the World Stage. Time to cut out the tall poppy syndrome please!!

That's not how I read it? It is more common now that dancers are getting overseas tuition whether it be from workshops organised here or dancers going overseas themselves. I'm sure Harry & Charlotte did it with the blessing of their schools because they all believed it to be beneficial for them. Charlotte and (I believe) Mitchell got in some international Feis -- Fairplay to them all, 04:10:24 04/25/14 Fri
