I wouldn't really call it a town. More of a wide spot in the road. You can see everything in a morning or an afternoon easily. It really is a pretty area though. If you are a civil war buff like me you can see a lot of the battlefields between Richmond and Schuyler. Also Monticello. I would very much like to return and see Schuyler again but it's a long way from Washington State. We were there 18 months ago. We spent a week seeing Washington DC, Gettysburg, Schuyler and surrounding area. The Blue ridge Parkway is a must see if you have the time. The talk about it several times in different Walton's shows.
