Subject: Waltons on Blu Ray HD info

A few days ago Warner Bros made the announcement that they will back the Blu-Ray HD format.
While my Walton's DVDs look fantastic on my HDTV, I can't wait for the release of The Walton's in the Blu-Ray High Definition format.

The same way that CBS and others have remastered other 40 year old TV shows like Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and broadcast them in HD (like this past Christmas) you can expect ALL vintage TV shows to be available at some point in the future.

I know some of you are concerned about if and when other Walton's shows will be released on DVD. I can assure you, they will, but I don't know if they will all be released on regular DVD.

Here's the deal... for many years all of the big companies have been waiting for the winner of this HD format war between Blu Ray and HD DVD. Well Blu Ray is the winner hands down. Warner Brothers said last week they will go exclusively with the Blu Ray HD format. They join giants such as Disney, Sony, CBS, and many others in supporting the Blu Ray over the HD DVD, which are going to be as worthless as 8 track tapes in about a year.
Blockbuster Video made a decision about 6 months ago to only go with Blu Ray HD.

So if you are making a decision about a high definition DVD player for your flat screen, don't waste your money on the HD DVD (with the red label), go with Blu Ray and you'll be all set for when the Walton's are released in remastered high definition.

Sony Playstation 3 systems can play any Blu-Ray discs.
