I actually met Johnny Cash twice. 15 years apart. First time was in Seattle at a show with Johnny, June Carter, who he was just dating or living with at the time, and others (Hank Williams Jr,). My wife and I snuck backstage after the show. Johnny disappeared. I think he was doing drugs etc at that time. I wasn't in Law Enforcement at the time. June Carter is a truly wonderful person and down to earth. The second time was at The Fair show in Puyallup, Washington. (5th largest in the U.S. and Canada) I was working the show back stage as a Police Officer and Johnny was there. He didn't talk unless spoken to but was nice. Seemed to be nervous about the show or something else. This was after the drug period. He made you feel comfortable to be around. The worst one I came in contact with was Roger Miller. Really had a bad attitude towards the stage crew, the crowd and every one else. He was banned from that Fair forever.
