Greetings Globettes..... Where in the "globe" will you be spending your New Years?......Boarding a plane from Houston tomorrow... Memphis is where I will hang my boots....
Subject: The theme in Time Square this New Year's Eve is "Let there be courage!" I have decided to use this saying as my mantra for the year 2010. Real courage NOT bravado. Owning my gifts an abilities. Enjoying my friendships and not running from them. Finding out who and what I am without fear of what I will find. Embracing this wonderful life I am creating without wondering if everything will work out. 2009 taught me some real lessons of love and commitment. Learning how to let adult children grow on their own. And then standing back a becoming amazed at how well they do on their own. Trusting my judgment and finding out I do know what I am doing. To anyone reading this forum for the first time please EXPLORE GLOBE! For it is so much more than a pageant. Embrace WIN...For it is showing me how to be the real ME. LOVE! LAUGH! LIVE!

Seasons Greetings to all my pageant sisters!! Wow, it has been several years since I have connected with many of you. (For shame!). Why connect now? Well…I’ve experienced a miracle in my life recently which has allowed me a second chance at LIVING (with purpose!)
I am blessed and fortunate to have met such a beautiful array of caring, genuine, service oriented women. (I took that for granted). However, moving forward I have chosen to live my life focused solely on what matters most…FAMILY, FRIENDS and SERVICE!
Happy Holidays to you and I look forward to chatting it up with you soon

Quisiera que alguien me informara en donde puedo encontrar fotos y noticias de Mrs. Globe 2009, que se está llevando a cabo en Slovakia. No encuentro ninguna informacion en la pagina de Mrs Globe.

I am trying to find on your site the pageant events in Slovikia. It would be helpful to know the final date for Virtual voting so I can get as many people as possible in the US to vote. IS the pageant going to be on the Internet? Anyone who can anwser this it would be appreciated. I am not connected to the pageant but believe in the WIN foundation as a worthy cause. I am sending hundreds of people to the website regarding virtual voting and the pageant and they ask me about the pageant and where to find daily posted information on Slovikia or press releases. Perhaps I am missing where this information is displayed. Thanks appreciate your help...

Hi Tracy and All,
I'm very confused about your message stating that Mrs. Globe is a pageant that celebrates culture so women of culture are invited to participate. What "culture" are you referring to? Did you mean women of color by any chance?
Culture refers to behaviors and ways of relating that are particular to a given group/ethnicity/nationality of people.
For example, we are all part of the American culture. It is not offensive for women of color to be referred to as such. I understand you are trying not to step on anyone's toes and want to get your message across but give us more credit than that. As a matter of fact,if you're looking for more "ethnically diverse" contestants, just say that.
I like your pageant and have always wanted to enter. Just thought I'd add my two or three cents. Thanks for listening.
