Hey George
I am glad I looked on my computer before making the trip to see the Yardbirds becsuse the show was cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. I was a little bummed out because I was finally going to see a full 90 minute Yardbirds show. I saw them open up for the Animals 20 years ago and they only did an hour. Then in 2006 I saw them open up for the Doors and they only played 38 minutes but they had added Dazed and Confused to the set. They did Tinker Tailor for the first time on their 2012 tour. That was the tour when Chris Dreja had a stroke towards the end of the tour and he hasnt played since. Just found out that Jim Mccarty the drummer now has his autobiography out which I will surely get. But from all of the bootlegs I have, the Yardbirds sound better than ever. Jimmy Page put out their long out of print Yardbirds 68 live album last year without the bullfight cheers etc. but in doing so, he cut out 5 minutes that the original 1971 release had so that kinda ruined it for me but I did get 2 limited edition autographed box sets of it. But thanks for asking about this. Next up for me is the Trans Siberian Orchestra in 2 weeks.
Joey
