這條律例是按著那時代的情況而要以色列人遵行的(律法最重要是遵行)，對那時代的婦女來說已是保障。就如，在盲婚啞嫁的時代，那時的女人認為能嫁到給一個好男人/有責任感的男人已算是不錯，雖然起初大家都是沒感情的。

我從這律例中認識到神是不許選民中有淫亂，要盡力制止這些事發生。若真的失敗了，也要角盡自己當有的責任給對方保障。
