Hello everyone, we are having a Two Day Event at Penwell Knights Raceway August, 21 & 22. We are having a HEADS-UP Door Slammers Show, By: RODS www.realoutlawdoorslammers.com and would like to invite everyone out.
Here are the Rules and Payout.

This is a Friday Night Qualifying, Saturday Night Race!!

PAYOUTS:
16 Car Qualified Field:

$1500 winner
$ 700 runner-up
$ 500 semi finals
$ 250 2nd round loser
$ 100 1st round loser

A driver should pre-enter the event at least 7 days before the race date to receive a special pre-entry deal. Pre-entered drivers will be charged a $100 entry fee that includes car, driver and 4 crew members. Teams traveling more than 200 miles will receive FREE entry for car, driver and 4 crew members. Teams that do not pre-enter will be charged $150 at the gate for car, driver and 4 crew members. This includes out of town teams.

To Pre enter you must either send an email to Lawren Jones at lawrenjones@comcast.net or call Lawren Jones at (505)934-0109 at least 7 days before the race date.

Real Outlaw Door Slammers (R.O.D.S.)

The name says it all. If ever there was a “REAL OUTLAW” show, R.O.D.S. is it.

R.O.D.S. does not care if you run blowers, nitro, nitrous oxide, turbochargers, big tires, ten wide tires in trucks, old shoe boxes, 50’s classic’s, 60’s muscle car's, or modern mountain motored pro stock’s. Just know this, when you run with R.O.D.S. you better make sure you brought everything with you. Including the kitchen sink.

THE RULES:
All cars must be left hand steer cars and have working doors. Cars and drivers must meet all NHRA guide lines and safety rules that pertain to the speed and ET of their vehicle. All vehicles will be inspected before qualifying starts.
All cars will have an opportunity to make 2 qualifying runs. The quickest 16 cars will be put into an elimination format. R.O.D.S. fully expects ALL cars to make 2 qualifying attempts. The 16 quickest cars will run 4 rounds of eliminations. Any car that does not qualify in the quick 16 will not race. Any car that does not run quicker than 5.50 will not qualify and will not receive any payout money.
A car that enters R.O.D.S. will not be allowed to enter the local bracket racing program. If your car does not qualify in RODS you may enter in another class.
All cars that qualify must stage their car under power to receive round money. If a car qualifies but is broke and can not make the next round, the driver agrees to inform the race director of the situation. If the race director determines that your race car is not capable of running the full race course under power, the race director has the power to replace your car with an alternate car. If an alternate car is available, the alternate car would be asked to fill the spot of the broke car. The alternate car would be the quickest loser from the previous round. If the alternate car agrees to fill the spot, the broke car would then forfeit $100 of his/her qualifying/round money and give that amount of money to the alternate. The alternate car would then proceed as if they had qualified or won the round in that spot and could advance to the final should they win rounds. If there is not an alternate car to replace the broke car all cars would run in their qualified position and the broke car would not report to the starting line and a single would be allowed. The broke car would receive his full payment of the qualifying or round money entitled to them.

Proper attire: R.O.D.S. is requesting that teams report to the starting line with all of your team members dressed alike. We would prefer that your teams not wear white t-shirts. We understand that team uniforms are expensive and R.O.D.S. is not asking you to go spend a lot of money on uniforms. We would like for your teams to look professional and white greasy t-shirts are not the image we are looking for.

Breaking News from Redline Raceway -- Justin, 20:42:39 07/13/09 Mon [2]
Jerry Goss phoned tonight to inform us of some changes that have been and are being made to provide us all with an even better racing experience at Redline Raceway. He and his staff have been hard at work improving the racecar rig parking by digging up the pot holes located along the fence line and pouring concrete in its place. Also, they have dug up 150-180 feet of the shut down area and poured concrete as well. All of this has been done to provide each and every racer with a smoother racetrack. In speaking with Jerry, you could hear the excitement in his voice about the changes being made. Redline Raceway has been a huge part of the Outlaw Top Sportsman association for many years now and the fan support our class receives at their track is first class. Jerry also wanted to inform everyone, race teams and spectators, that for Saturday night’s race he is slashing the prices at the gate. A pit side ticket will cost you $15 and a spectator side ticket will be $10.
Other important notes:

Parking for all OTS racers will begin at 4:00 PM

First round of qualifying will begin at 8:00 PM.

The only thing hotter than the temperature Saturday will be the racing at Redline Raceway. So come join us this Saturday as we head into the second half of our season.
